Introduction
Account Chief, sometimes called the Mothership, is where you manage the account used across Chief Tools. It keeps your sign-in methods, teams, roles, and billing information in one place.
We are working on it!

Guides
Sign-in
Chief Tools supports several ways to sign in and secure your account.
Username and password
Your Chief Tools username is your email address. Change it from your profile, or update your password from the password settings page.
Two-factor
You can enable a time-based one-time password in an authenticator such as 1Password or Google Authenticator. Account Chief asks for a generated code when you sign in.
Passkeys
Register a passkey to use it as a second factor or to sign in without entering your email address and password.
Social login
You can connect a social account and sign in with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or Apple.
If the connected account already uses strong authentication, your preferences can allow that social sign-in to bypass Account Chief's second factor.
